Mega Show Announcement to Exhibitors

12.46am August 12, 2020

Dear Exhibitors,

Re: BuildNZ, Facilities Integrate NZ and the National Safety Show Update

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement last last night we regretfully announce that The Mega Event being BuildNZ, Facilities Integrate NZ and the National Safety Show is unable to run as planned.

This is particularly cruel timing for all concerned given the significant effort that you have all made into readying a beautiful show for what is currently a record 6500+ pre-registered trade visitors.

Access to the venue

For exhibitors who wish to gain access to their stands at the ASB Showgrounds we can confirm you will have access to the halls from 8am-11am Wednesday morning for the collection of any essential items.

  • We will be distributing face masks upon entry from the show information counter.
  • Please stay at home if you are feeling unwell.

Given the need to ensure a safe work environment within the time constraint (midday lockdown), we ask that only essential items are collected in the morning. There will not be access to forklifts during this time, and we ask that you please refrain from any structural breakdown of your stand.

Your stand and the venue will be secured from Midday tomorrow until we can safely regain access thereafter.

We would ask that you please share and distribute this information to anyone who may be involved with the running of your stand.

Further communications to follow

In the coming days we will provide further information on next steps including final breakdown of your stand, however in the meantime we ask for your patience as we consider all developments in the coming days.

In the meantime we wish you, your business and your families all the very best and once again thank you for your patience and understanding. For other updates please visit www.xpo.co.nz/news/

Kind regards,

XPO Exhibitions
