COVID-19 UPDATE FOR CUSTOMERS

*Wednesday 15th April, 9:15 AM*

Dear Exhibitors and Visitors of XPO shows,

We are all experiencing challenging times as we remain in a current state of lockdown.

XPO remains at this time cautiously optimistic that our Government’s early and strong imposition of Level 4 lockdown together with tightened border controls provides New Zealand with the best chance, perhaps of any advanced nation on earth, of wiping out COVID-19; at least until a vaccine can be developed.

With our business carefully managing hundreds of thousands of buyers and sellers across industry sectors we are well placed to play our important part in the recovery phase cycle for SME businesses post crisis.

In the meantime stay tuned as we commence developing and marketing a suite of tools to connect XPO buyers and with seller ‘show specials’ online, starting with essential service industries and closely followed by non-essential products once online order fulfillment is allowed.

In terms of our event schedule this remains currently in place as per our previous update on the 20th March, with tiered backup rescheduled dates with each venue should the COVID-19 situation necessitate an extended time-frame for the banning of mass gatherings. XPO has been given assurances that our events will have priority on the calendar of our venue partners. The shows will proceed!

We are buoyed by the continual messages of support that our events remain critical to the sales and marketing plans of more than 3000 exhibitor SMEs and the 150,000 annual event goers – and we’re determined to once again deliver you safe, meaningful events within a new regulatory framework with support and guidance from the Ministry of Health, regulatory bodies and our all important associations and industry stakeholders, once restrictions begin to ease.

In the meantime if there are supply aspects or products and services that we can help connect you with across our vast network of show visitors and exhibitors, then feel free to contact us at info@xpo.co.nz
